Delhi families sometimes choose Gurugram over our Delhi centres simply because the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road run is easier from where they live than crossing south Delhi. Either centre is fine, and the same pathway runs at both.

Blocks of weekly sessions with a home programme between them, and the home programme is what moves things. Muscles respond to what happens most days, not to what happens on a Thursday, so we would rather set five minutes daily that you will actually do than twenty you will not.

Physiotherapy is for movement itself: tone, strength, balance, coordination and how a child gets from one position to another. Where the difficulty is with a task rather than with movement, occupational therapy is the better fit, and we say so on the intake call rather than take the booking.

What the first appointment involves

A physical assessment of tone, range of movement, strength, posture, balance and how your child moves between positions, alongside a history of pregnancy, birth and milestones. You leave with a baseline and a home programme, and goals stated as things your child will be able to do rather than as measurements.

Our paediatric physiotherapist is based at Malviya Nagar inside Rainbow, not at Gurugram. Gurugram families travel in for assessment and review and run the home programme in between, which for physiotherapy carries most of the change anyway.
