Adult Counselling in Gurgaon

Professional adult counselling at our Gurugram centre on MG Road, Sector 24, Haryana.

Adult counselling in Gurgaon is therapy for you, booked by you, with nobody else in the loop. The centre is in Gurgaon itself. Most people who contact us have been thinking about it for a year or more, so if you are only at the point of reading a page about it, that is a normal place to start.

Our Gurugram centre

eMbrace Gurugram is at 710, DLF City Court, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, Nathupur, Sector 24, Gurugram 122002. Guru Dronacharya on the Yellow Line is roughly 700 metres away, which makes this one of the few specialist child psychology services in Gurugram you can reach without a car.

That matters for families coming from DLF Phases 1 to 4, Sushant Lok, Sector 54 and the sectors around it, and it matters again for teenagers who would rather come to a session independently than be dropped off by a parent.

Delhi families sometimes choose Gurugram over our Delhi centres simply because the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road run is easier from where they live than crossing south Delhi. Either centre is fine, and the same pathway runs at both.

The obstacle for most adults is not the fee, it is the working week. Sessions run weekly, and the slots that survive are early morning, late evening and weekends rather than the middle of a working day. Tell us what your week looks like and we will say honestly whether we can fit it, rather than booking you into something you start cancelling by week four.

For parking, the nearest drop-off point and the quickest route at your particular time of day, ask on the intake call. Traffic and parking around every one of these centres change enough through the day that current directions from someone who works there beat anything we could fix on a web page.

When counselling is worth starting

There is no threshold you have to cross to deserve therapy, and the commonest reason people give for not starting sooner is that other people have it worse. That is true of almost everyone and it is not a useful test. A more useful one is whether something has been going on long enough that you have stopped expecting it to lift on its own.

  • Low mood, anxiety or irritability that has become the normal setting rather than a bad patch
  • Burnout: still functioning at work, running on empty, and no longer recovering at weekends
  • A bereavement, separation, diagnosis or move that has not settled the way you assumed it would
  • The same pattern repeating across relationships, jobs or friendships
  • Drinking, working or scrolling noticeably more in order to not think about something

Anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, workplace stress, trauma and relationship difficulties each have their own page on our adult mental health hub.

What the first session is like, and who knows about it

The first session is a conversation, not an assessment. By the end you should have a plain-language account of what seems to be going on and a suggested way of working. You are not obliged to continue and you will not be sold a package.

On discretion, which people ask about far more than method: what you say stays between you and your therapist. Nothing reaches your employer, family or doctor without your written consent, including where an employer is paying. The only limit is serious risk.

What adults come to us with here

The Gurugram adult caseload is dominated by work: burnout, workplace stress, anxiety about performance and job security, and the particular exhaustion of long commutes stacked on long hours. A good proportion arrives through employers rather than privately.

The second theme is younger adults living away from family for the first time, where the presenting difficulty is anxiety or low mood and the thing underneath it is loneliness in a city organised around offices and cars.

Who you would see at our Gurugram centre

Dr Supriya Malik, Founder and CEO

PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Birmingham, where she was also a postdoctoral researcher, and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society in the UK. She works across the lifespan, including anxiety and depression in adults, and designed the pathways every eMbrace centre runs.

At our Gurugram centre, the clinicians who take this work are:

Mannat Kaur Arora, Psychologist

Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology from Amity University Haryana and an MA in Psychology from the University of Delhi. Assessment across MISIC, WISC-IV, Conners 3, CBCL, ISAA, CARS and the NIMHANS SLD battery. Works in English and Hindi.

Which of them you see is decided on the intake call rather than by whoever has the next free slot, and you are told who it will be before you book. Fuller biographies are on our about page.

Schools and services we already work with

Some of the adult work we do around Gurgaon runs through employers and partner services rather than through this website, which is often how someone first reaches us.

We are a mental health partner for corporates working with WTW, providing therapy support, assessment and workshops.

Since 2025 we have delivered corporate workshops with Atypical Advantage on inclusivity and neurodiversity, autism awareness and mental health awareness.

Where a child or adult needs psychiatric input, we work with Sukoon across Delhi NCR for psychiatric assessment, consultation and medication management, so you are not left to find a psychiatrist yourself.

Fees, how long it runs, and couples work

Fees are quoted upfront on your intake call, before anything is booked. Where an employer or partner service is funding the work, we tell you how many sessions that covers before you start rather than when it runs out.

Focused work on a specific difficulty often runs eight to twelve sessions. Long-standing patterns and trauma work run considerably longer, and we say which we think applies rather than leaving you to find out. Couples work is a separate strand, starting with a joint session and an individual session with each partner.

Frequently asked questions

At 710, DLF City Court, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, Sector 24, with Guru Dronacharya on the Yellow Line roughly 700 metres away.

No. Nothing goes to an employer without your written consent, including where they are funding it. They are told you attended, not what you said.

Early morning, late evening and weekend slots are what most people in this catchment use. A midday appointment is the one that gets cancelled.

Yes, and it is the single commonest reason adults come to us in Gurugram. Still functioning, running on empty and no longer recovering at weekends is the usual picture.

Fees are quoted on your free 15-minute intake call, before anything is booked, and depend on which clinician you see.

Book, or check first

Start with the free 15-minute intake call. It is with a clinician, fees are quoted on it, and if we are not the right service for your child we will tell you on that call rather than after you have paid for an appointment.

Stressed, or burnt out? They need different things.

Our self-check gives you four separate scores — worry, mood, body and sleep, and burnout — because those four problems look identical from the outside and respond to completely different treatment. Your answers stay in your browser, and the 7-Day Reset Plan has a track for whichever one is heaviest.
