Developmental paediatrics in Gurgaon sits where medicine and development meet: milestones, growth, and the medical questions that can sit underneath a developmental difficulty. The centre is in Gurgaon itself. This page is clear about which parts of that we do ourselves and which need a doctor.

Our Gurugram centre
eMbrace Gurugram is at 710, DLF City Court, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, Nathupur, Sector 24, Gurugram 122002. Guru Dronacharya on the Yellow Line is roughly 700 metres away, which makes this one of the few specialist child psychology services in Gurugram you can reach without a car.
That matters for families coming from DLF Phases 1 to 4, Sushant Lok, Sector 54 and the sectors around it, and it matters again for teenagers who would rather come to a session independently than be dropped off by a parent.
Delhi families sometimes choose Gurugram over our Delhi centres simply because the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road run is easier from where they live than crossing south Delhi. Either centre is fine, and the same pathway runs at both.
Developmental assessment with us is a small number of appointments rather than an ongoing commitment. Where a medical review is needed alongside it, that runs on its own schedule, and we would rather coordinate the two than have you manage two unconnected processes.
For parking, the nearest drop-off point and the quickest route at your particular time of day, ask on the intake call. Traffic and parking around every one of these centres change enough through the day that current directions from someone who works there beat anything we could fix on a web page.
What this work covers
The developmental question is whether a child is progressing as expected across communication, motor, cognitive, social and self-care skills, and if not, why. Some of the answers are developmental, which is our work. Some are medical, which is not.
- Milestones delayed in one area or several, where the cause has not been established
- Regression, meaning loss of skills previously held, which needs prompt medical as well as developmental review
- Developmental concerns alongside prematurity, a genetic condition or a birth complication
- A developmental difficulty where a medical explanation has not yet been excluded
The clinical detail sits on our developmental paediatrics page.
What we do, and what we refer
We do the developmental assessment: mapping a child across all areas, producing a written baseline, and identifying which therapies would help. That is the majority of what most families need and it does not require a doctor.
We do not prescribe, investigate or diagnose medical conditions. Where the picture suggests one, we say so and point you to the right medical service rather than working around it.
What we see most of
Gurugram referrals typically arrive from paediatricians who have already raised a developmental concern and want it assessed properly. Our part is the assessment and the therapy plan that follows; medical follow-up stays with the referring doctor, which works better than duplicating it.
Who you would see at our Gurugram centre
Dr Supriya Malik, Founder and CEO, and Head of the Child Development Centre at Rainbow
PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Birmingham, where she was also a postdoctoral researcher, and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society in the UK. She designed the assessment and therapy pathways every eMbrace centre runs.
eMbrace is a psychology and therapy practice rather than a medical one, and a developmental paediatrician is a doctor. We carry out the developmental and psychological assessment; a medical opinion or prescription comes from a paediatrician. For Gurugram families that usually means we assess and then refer, and we say so on the intake call rather than after you have booked.
Schools and services we already work with
Because this work spans medical and developmental care, who we connect to around Gurgaon matters:
Where a child or adult needs psychiatric input, we work with Sukoon across Delhi NCR for psychiatric assessment, consultation and medication management, so you are not left to find a psychiatrist yourself.
Through The Medical Travel Company we provide autism and ADHD assessment and therapy for families in the UK, across Africa and elsewhere in India, on hybrid, in-person and online programmes.
Fees and what to expect
Fees are quoted upfront on your intake call and cover the developmental assessment, report and feedback. Any medical care sits outside that and is not ours to quote.
If what you need is a doctor rather than a psychologist, we will tell you on the free intake call, and you will not have paid us anything to find out.

Start with the free 15-minute intake call. It is with a clinician, fees are quoted on it, and if we are not the right service for your child we will tell you on that call rather than after you have paid for an appointment.
