If you are looking for a child psychologist in Noida, this page tells you which of our centres you would actually come to, what happens at the first appointment and who you would see. The short answer is our Malviya Nagar centre, because we do not have a centre in Noida. Nothing is booked until you have had a free 15-minute intake call, which is with a clinician rather than a receptionist.

How Noida families see us
We should be straight about this one: eMbrace has no centre in Noida. Our three centres are in Vasant Kunj, Malviya Nagar and Gurugram, and from most of Noida that is a genuine cross-city journey with a Blue Line to Yellow Line change at Rajiv Chowk.
So for most Noida families the sensible answer is online. Consultation, parent sessions, feedback appointments and a good deal of therapy run perfectly well over video, and it removes the part of the process that most often causes families to drop out, which is the travel.
Where an in-person appointment is genuinely necessary, and cognitive and psychoeducational assessment is the clearest case, we usually schedule it at Malviya Nagar and try to group the testing so you make the trip once rather than weekly. If your child is at school in south Delhi, that often works out easier than it sounds.
Worth knowing before you plan the journey: seeing a child psychologist starts as a small number of appointments, not a standing weekly commitment. The consultation, the parent history and the feedback session are usually three visits over a few weeks. Whether anything follows, and how often, is decided at the feedback session with you rather than assumed at the start.
On the occasions you do travel in for an in-person appointment, ask about parking and the nearest drop-off point on the intake call. Current directions from someone who works there beat anything we could fix on a web page.
When a child psychologist is the right call
Most of what worries parents is developmentally ordinary and passes. What separates the two is not how bad the behaviour looks on its worst day, but whether it has persisted, whether it shows up in more than one setting, and whether it has started to get in the way of ordinary life.
- The same difficulty at home and at school, rather than in only one place
- A change that has lasted more than a few weeks and is not shifting
- Anxiety that has started to shrink what your child will attempt
- Any talk of self-harm, at any age, which warrants an appointment the same week
The longer version, including the signs that usually do not need a psychologist at all, is on our child psychology hub.
What happens at your first appointment
The first appointment is a consultation, not a test. Nothing is diagnosed on day one. You start with the free 15-minute intake call, then a parent history session usually without your child present, then a session with your child pitched to their age, then a feedback session where you get the formulation in plain language, a written summary and a plan with a review point in it.
Bring school reports and any previous assessment. If a class teacher or school counsellor knows your child well, their observations are often the single most useful thing you can bring.
What we see most often
Because Noida families see us mainly online, the caseload is weighted towards the work that suits that format well: anxiety, low mood, school refusal, parent coaching and behaviour plans, and follow-up therapy after an assessment done elsewhere.
The commonest reason a Noida family travels in is cognitive or psychoeducational assessment, which cannot be done properly over video, and second opinions where a diagnosis has been given quickly and the parents want it examined more slowly.
Who you would see at our Malviya Nagar centre
Dr Supriya Malik, Founder and CEO, and Head of the Child Development Centre at Rainbow
PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Birmingham, where she was also a postdoctoral researcher, and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society in the UK. She designed the assessment and therapy pathways every eMbrace centre runs.
At our Malviya Nagar centre, the clinicians who take this work are:
Taranpreet Kaur, Clinical Psychologist
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology with distinction, plus a Post Graduate Diploma in School Counselling from Symbiosis. ACT and MBCT for anxiety, depression, OCD and trauma, and comprehensive psychological assessment. Works in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
Cheesha Kanwar, Psychologist
Completing an MSc in Clinical Psychology at Christ (Deemed to be University), with a BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi. Behaviour therapy and assessment support using WISC-V, NEPSY-II, Conners-3 and BRIEF-2. Works in English and Hindi.
Which of them you see is decided on the intake call rather than by whoever has the next free slot, and you are told who it will be before you book. Fuller biographies are on our about page.
Schools and services we already work with
Some of what we do around Noida happens inside institutions rather than at a centre, which is often how a family first hears of us.
Where a child or adult needs psychiatric input, we work with Sukoon across Delhi NCR for psychiatric assessment, consultation and medication management, so you are not left to find a psychiatrist yourself.
Fees and timelines
Fees are quoted upfront on your intake call, before anything is booked. We do not publish a number because it depends on which clinician you see and what the work involves, and a figure on a web page would be a guess at your situation rather than a price for it.
A therapy course is reviewed formally at around session six, and we would expect you to be seeing some change by then. If you are not, that is a reason to change the plan rather than persist with it.
Frequently asked questions
We have no centre in Noida. Noida families see us online, or travel to our Malviya Nagar centre in south Delhi for the parts of the work that have to happen in a room.
For anxiety, low mood, school refusal and parent coaching, the evidence base for online delivery is good. Formal cognitive and psychoeducational testing is the clear exception and needs to be done in person.
No. You can book directly. If a paediatrician, school counsellor or teacher has already written something, bring it, because it saves repeating history and sharpens the question we are answering.
No. The first appointment is a consultation. A diagnosis, where one is appropriate at all, follows structured assessment across more than one session and more than one source of information.
Fees are quoted upfront on your free 15-minute intake call, before you book anything. The figure depends on which clinician you see and what the work involves, so we quote your situation rather than an average.
Book, or check first
Start with the free 15-minute intake call. It is with a clinician, fees are quoted on it, and if we are not the right service for your child we will tell you on that call rather than after you have paid for an appointment.
